Alan Rose Friend of Broadside Electric and all-around really really nice person. Never a member of Broadside, but he nonetheless figures prominently in band history in a number of ways. From 1990 to 1994 Tom and Alan shared a house in Bryn Mawr (at various times Jim, Dan and Mike also lived there) which was a center of band activities. Alan is a singer-songwriter who plays a mighty 12-string guitar (that's Alan's guitar, played by Tom, on "The Six Questions" from BEVC). He has recorded one album, Solitaire, which was released on Broadside's Clever Sheep label. He also loaned the band all kinds of equipment (in particular, the PA system used at most Broadside shows until 1994, and his 4-track tape recorder), did occasional sound and roadieing, and put up with two years of Broadside rehearsals directly underneath his bedroom. Alan is now working as a student activities director at Hamilton College.
